Murray
Mead is CEO of Quik International overseeing the business
administration and franchise development of the entire organization.
His
role in the company is essential to its growth of international expansion
and branding of the Quik Internet name. Mead is instrumental in the
franchise entities of Quik International and single-handedly developed
the business model that helped to bring a home-based business out
of the garage and into worldwide territories.
Mead
has had 40 years of franchising experience to his credit. He successfully
franchised swimming pool companies, restaurants and financial services.
He has an extensive background in executive management in various
settings from start-up companies to national hotel chains. He became
interested in the Internet when the World Wide Web was first developed
in 1993. Mead is the architect behind Quik's business model of local
Internet service and support delivered through entrepreneurs in their
respective communities.
Jack Reynolds— CO FOUNDER
Jack
Reynolds is CO FOUNDER of Quik International and is instrumental
in overseeing its explosive growth and pioneering the technological
aspects of the company.
Reynolds
is spokesperson to represent the company’s past, present and
future and its role in propelling the Internet industry into the 21st
Century and beyond.
Reynolds
started the first Quik Internet site in 1995 by building a network
in his garage and aggregating customers by standing on street corners
to pass out leaflets. As people drove by, Reynolds handed them a flyer
and told them about something called the Internet. He was determined
to bring this communications phenomenon down to a level where the
average person could use and understand it.
His
passion for the Internet began in 1985 when he used Internet tools
to manage software product development as a consultant for a German
company. Reynolds opened several Internet sites in Southern California
for other companies under contract in 1994 until he constructed his
first Quik Internet site. His passion has helped Quik International
to become a global company with over 120 franchises in 15 countries.
Reynolds
career in the computer industry began 17 years ago with the then start-up
company, Compaq. He served in executive level positions at Compaq
and Tandon, AST Research, Everex and ACER. During his years in the
computer industry, Reynolds had national and international responsibility
for product distribution through computer resellers such as Computerland,
Microage, Ingram Micro, Sears and Inacomp.
Griff Hamlin—VP of Technical Services
Dr.
Griff Hamlin directs the technical team of Quik International.
He
is responsible for managing the technical operation of the network
and servers to ensure operation and keep the entire franchise organization
“live,” or online. In addition, he oversees implementation
and rollout of technical products and services, such as e-commerce
packages.
When
Hamlin joined with Quik International, he began development of a unique
software program, called Cheetah. His endeavor became one of the essential
components to Quik International’s success in establishing and
flourishing into a franchise organization. Cheetah is the interface
to Quik’s network and fully automates administrative and technical
tasks, such as setting up new accounts.
Hamlin
obtained is Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina in Computer
Science.
Hamlin's
list of accomplishments is considerable. His range of computer experience
includes graphics hardware and software design, 3D CAD software design,
and the creation and international distribution of "Math Type," a
mathematical equation editor available in four languages and used
in Microsoft products. Also, Hamlin founded a number of computer service
companies and, after earning his Ph.D., became a college professor.
Dr. Hamlin's career has affiliated him with the NASA Langley Research
Center, Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, Unicad Software
in Boulder, Colorado and Stellar Computer in Massachusetts.
